The Theory of Everything

When a heart breaks

We see from wounded eyes

But what is really happening

You would be surprised

When our heart’s break

And earthquakes into millions of cracks

The expansion of your feelings

Open to expose the contrast parallax

Through craggy gaps and rifs

Our delicate pith soul is visible

Nor are our secrets hidden

But they are multiplied divisible

In hurt we grow outward

We expand to transcend

Exposure leaves us vulnerable

Pain causes us to overextend

The heart swells in emotion

Crackles the veneer in its distress

It doesn’t truly break

But it hurts nonetheless

Take all the hate and tragedy

That happens daily on this earth

Fault lines scar it’s crust

It also wears its cracks of genteel rebirth

The theory of everything,

don’t you see?

We are connected to it all

And we are the master keys

We must cleft

To learn and reach higher

Without those forces

We would never be inspired

We must live

And we must love hard

Even when we hurt

We must give regard

Our connection to all

And how this will shape

Our light source is laid bear

Our shade is undraped

We are more than just heartbroken

But fragile newborns

Given a chance to grow stronger

Our hearts are exquisit especially with scars adorn

Awww… Big hugs* for you! I hate I ruined your makeup, but the connection I’m not sorry for. It helps knowing we have someone who can understand our hurting hearts. Even if they’re just words, they still touch us and heal. Hugs hugs and more hugs!

Thank you for the hugs and don’t worry about the make up – I got tons of those – but hugs I don’t get many but appreciate the most. I liked the connection too -good to know someone understands and makes good of the hurts – blessed day/night to you.

Sounds lile we’re kindred ‘make-up’ souls! 😉 I think we’d be sharing and trying each other’s lipsticks! Lol

        Blessings to you!

I truly loved this and I really could connect to each and every word. Somehow when I write about pain I too work in the similar lines. I too make sure the endings have silviler lining 🙂 thank you for following I hope you like my posts 🙂

Thank you for your kind words, I’m so glad y found connection! 🙂

There’s a reason they call us ‘hopeless romantics’. We hold out for the magic and know there is a sliver lining just around the corner! We chose to believe we will be the winning underdogs! lol

Lol 🙂 but you know I have a theory to that too. I guess sometimes it isn’t so bad to love someone who doesn’t love you. It just shows how much love there is which is almost unconditional, unless we sulk about not having loved back :). So someday when the love remains and the need for getting back goes away it probably one of the purest form of love. 🙂 Of course one should move on though. A little weird theory but I guess I pull it off

I believe we have similar theories!
If you’re like me, you’ve tried ‘moving’ on? Only to be more miserable (and grouchy)than accepting and embracing the ‘what is’ fact. And that fact is- true love, even if not returned, is strong and existing through time. It’s not a bad thing to love. And having someone love us, or not love us back, doesn’t change its true form. It empowers us to love more and harder. 🙂

I agree with you 🙂 while a part of your heart will always love the person it’s best to move on. Well I have moved on from my past relationships. So, let’s hope this time around I do too. However, this time moving on would mean getting on with life. I would prefer to not be in a relationship again but who knows what’s in store in future 🙂 wish you well and a wonderful day. Good night dear

The second stanza is profound, exposing our bare souls, yes, and also exposing our connection to the universe. This was a painful delight to read.
