Shell

Filled wherein

Of haunted whispers

Of crashing waves

Shell twisting

Tight swirls

Housing emotions

Of churning memories

Losing me at sea…

Of tan lined love

And

Of belonging only to you.

I sit sunbathe

Tumbled worn smooth

Now on distant sandy shores.

In salty stillnesses

Remaining in your wake.

Wistfully thrown aside

In glass

Corked tight

Into the turbulent,

Surf of life.

Alone.

A vacant shell.

Waiting to be collected.

Sad, Poignant. Thank you, as a long-distance lover I needed to hear this today. Kudos ❤
