Refraction

(artist Gerard DeBois)

Refraction

Glancing in the mirror today,

His reflection was all shifted to the side.

He pretends to drown underwater,

Natural truth dismissed to hide.

The light touches differently now,

Visual distortion lumbers to chastise.

Sunny days warm and cook tacky skin,

Proofing freckles that overemphasize.

He likes to continually hear himself chatter,

Bare bones he was infamous on how to womanize.

Preaching to all- looks are only deceiving,

Him- the sole definition of biggety soliloquize.
